B. Development of Masterplans

We work with Ministries, Departments and Agencies in developing systemic roadmaps for the different sectors in our economy. This involves series of stakeholders’ engagements across public and private sector in analyzing datasets identifying short to long term approach in building our local economy.

Edo State Tourism Masterplan:

In achieving the mission of “Making Edo Great Again”, Edo State seeks to tap into new economic frontiers and position the State’s revenue beyond oil. The strategy involves developing citizen and institutional driven masterplans across multiple sectors as we believe we the people are the drivers for any sustainable innovation.

As a people, we are tapping into our unique advantage – our history, rich arts and culture. Our vision is to rebuild the fundamentals of Edo’s economy by harnessing our potentials. We are determined to rekindle the creative spirit that inspired our forebears to create valuable artefacts in time past. We also want to revitalize our infrastructure to support and sustain this new economy. This gives a direction of tourism “Beyond the Bronzes” in making Edo the preferred destination centre in Africa.

We have worked with multiple stakeholders in developing a Tourism Masterplan. This plan provides for institutional structure and regulation, which will be provided for by the soon to be established Tourism Agency and Tourism legislation.

The Masterplan is emboldened by four pillars: Product, Infrastructure, Marketing and Communication and Investment and Funding. The product strategy capitalises on our sports and cultural heritage, which will be the core of our anchor events to attract people to the State. Once here, they will be able to enjoy our many man-made and natural tourist product offerings such as Ososo Hills, Okomu Natural Park, and more. The infrastructure strategy focuses on improving the mobility and accessibility within Edo State, and especially to key tourist attractions to ensure that residents and visitors are able to move around safely and conveniently. This plan seeks to create over 25,000 direct and indirect jobs.

Our marketing and communication strategy focuses on a multi-media campaign which provides for a clear focus both nationally and internationally. On investment and funding, current activities are ongoing in bolstering Public-Private-Partnerships, which will ensure a sustainable development of the tourism sector.

C. Data Driven Solutions

We work with Ministries, Departments and Agencies in coining data-driven solutions in addressing specific challenges affecting organizational processes. An example is the tracking of approvals from the office of His Excellency, Governor of Edo State in speeding projects and initiatives in government.
